Guide for Posting Resources and Information

The Twin Cities Agricultural Land Trust is working to assemble a toolkit of information useful for getting people access to land for agriculture. The four main areas of resources we're trying to gather are: (a.) land access (e.g. sample leases, plans, places to look for land); (b.) protection of urban farming/gardening land; (c.) urban farming/gardening policy; and (d.) urban agriculture land use research.

You can help us by providing information following the steps outlined below. This will make it easier to fit you contribution into the structure of the toolkit (which is organized by topic sections into "modules") and be findable by Minnesota users.

Step 1: Decide on a Topic

Does the information you are providing fit best under (a.) land access (e.g. sample leases, plans, places to look for land); (b.) protection of urban farming/gardening land; (c.) urban farming/gardening policy; or (d.) urban agriculture land use research. Pick your topic area and visit that page of the blog to post your information.

Step 2: Name the Module

Pick a title that communicates what the piece is about and helps lets the reader know if it is the information they are looking for.

Step 3: Identify Your Audience

Let us know who might be most interested in the information you are providing (i.e. gardeners, municipal representatives, non-farming neighbors, etc).

Step 4: Introduction

In 1-3 paragraphs please provide a general description of the topic/issue.

Step 5: Provide Additional More Detailed Information

In 2-3 paragraphs please provide additional information of the topic/issue that will be most relevant to the audience.

Step 6: Conclusion/Recommendation

Please provide any final thoughts, information, recommendations that your audience should know or consider.

Step 7: Resources

Please let us know what resources you used when collecting your information.
